I was not aware of Loaded Honey until this article and I absolutely love love love that album! Is there any other albums/artist like it that I should check out?
Great list thank you. I look forward to following the evolution on Spotify. Did you get a chance to listen to Self Esteem? Or Fred Again. Both those albums were very high on my list this year.
We have about two in common, which is awesome because it means there's some gold out there that'll be new to me (I'm releasing my list in a couple of hours). Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to dive in.
Wow, what a great list Jared!!! I really appreciate how much effort you put into this and your phrasing in the Album Descriptions is stellar. And Most importantly… a lot of Artists I have Not heard of 🫶🏻
I have really been enjoying Adrainne Lenkers live at Revolution Hall Album and Okonski‘s „Entrance Music“ with the matter one being the Soundtrack to my 2025 evenings.
I also have not listened to the latest Mars Volta though I did enjoy it a lot live when they debuted it! Once I hear the studio album I'll letcha know tho. It was different live but I had no complaints as it was performed very well.

They rock. Yeah obviously Jungle. Recent albums from L'Imperatrice, Temples, Kokoroko, maybe even Khruangbin hit that spot. Lemme know what you think!
Got your Cloakroom titles mixed up (Story of the Egg was just the single)! Here for Saya Gray + still feeling the new Hotline TNT
d'oh! I like my title better haha :)
Heh me too (but can't remember if there are enough egg references across the full album for that title not to be false advertising!)
I’d recommend my favorite for now: Contato, by Pelados
thanks Rafael, will give it a spin ASAP!
I played the heck out of that Hotline TNT record. Glad to see it on this list and looking forward to checking out several more that are new to me.
I'm seeing Hotline TNT next month, can't wait to be hit with that reverb!
jealous.

Was Fred Again last year? Just put on Self Esteem, loving what I'm hearing so far, thanks Glen!
Ah. Of course it was. A group of us are trying to predict the UK mercury shortlist and that runs Jun 24-Aug 25. Got mixed up!
oh that's interesting, that could have been why Wolf Alice moved up The Clearing from Aug 29 to Aug 22
Thanks for the share. Checked out the Friendship record. Really liked that.
Of course, thanks for reading!
At one time I considered myself up to date with musical trends
Clearly that time has passed
I didn’t recognise any of the artists on this list
I am aware however the Lambrini Girls let the dogs out this year
I got something coming out tomorrow that I bet you'll recognize plenty. Thanks for stopping by!
And speaking of whiskey, just scored myself some Green Spot: Chateau Leoville Barton Edition, excited to try it this weekend :)
Thanks as always.
Glad you're digging it John!
I’m super happy that we have three overlaps (all will be revealed tomorrow) and there are a few others I love, too! What a great year for music.

That is great news, stoked to see what you're digging!

Thanks for the kind words Daniel! Hope you find something you love..
This Okonski is right up my alley, love everything Colemine's been putting out.
some good ones - And a bunch of stuff I haven't heard yet, sweeeeeet 💚
So glad to have some recs for a long drive to South Haven, Michigan tomorrow!!
So happy Simz wasn't forever on the path of meh RnB beats and still has the fire
I didn’t even know there was a new Tennis. Ty for this as I got some albums to checkout now
New and apparently last Tennis womp womp. What did you think of the new Mars Volta, i know fans are divided but I’m loving it more with each listen.
I also have not listened to the latest Mars Volta though I did enjoy it a lot live when they debuted it! Once I hear the studio album I'll letcha know tho. It was different live but I had no complaints as it was performed very well.
Damn so many bands the past year have been doing this. But always best they end it with an album rather than some controversial split I guess!
Having admittedly only heard of four of these artists, I’m looking forward to discovering something new that might resonate, thanks!
Love hearing that, keep me posted on what you like :)
