Thanks for featuring my essay about Laura Nyro and 'New York Tendaberry.' I have another essay about her in the works for later this month - stay tuned!
Now that looks like a nice month of music! Dananananaykroyd are one of the great underrated acts of that fancy indie punk etc. genre of the aughts. they had a silly name, but two really cool albums for sure.
haha i had forgotten about them until I saw the vinyl release, was a blast to revisit. I love when record labels revive somewhat forgotten gems on wax.
Thanks - I'm only familiar with a handful of these. The BEING DEAD is one of my favorites of 2024. I did not know there was a (recent) EELS - love them. Thanks again! Also, thank you.
May I recommend the lovely and talented Sarah Kinsley?
You are 2 for 2 on recommendations my man! Halfway through this and loving it, beautiful Kate Bush-esque voice. The back half of "My Name Is Dancing" is especially *chef's kiss*
Thank you for the kind words and signal boost! I really appreciate it. And I love that you're enjoying "Give me the Night!" Such a great record.
Digging Stars "Your Ex Lover is Dead." Beautiful!
Very theatrical, like a four minute movie!

Just love this feature. Some bloody cracking records here as well!
Much appreciated Matt, so much good music what a time to be alive!

I meant to say OFF! not EELS, who I am thankfully very familiar with. Glad I could help!
Love that Stars album so much! The Temper Trap too. The new Wild Pink grabbed my ear as well.
