I’m Auctioning Off 35 Signed Records Tomorrow Night
Join me for $1 starts, free vinyl giveaways, and $25 for new Whatnot users.
Hey friends,
Tomorrow night at 8 PM ET, I’m going live for my fourth Whatnot show, and I have assembled 35 signed records for you to fight over.
This is easily the best lineup I’ve brought to a stream. There are signed copies of some of this year’s biggest releases from Charli xcx, Rostam, Olivia Rodrigo, Noah Kahan, James Blake, and Ratboys, to name a few.
That’s alongside Built to Spill, Wilco, Bo Burnham, Cate Le Bon, Oklou, Spoon, The Beths, The Hotelier, Jessica Pratt, DIIV, and plenty more.
For the uninitiated, Whatnot is a live auction app where sellers run items in real time while everyone bids in the chat. Think Twitch meets eBay.
I’ve watched enough vinyl streams to notice the same problem: too many auctions creep back up to normal retail prices, usually for the same inventory you can find elsewhere.
That is not what I’m doing. Tomorrow night, every record starts at $1.
Some of these signed records regularly sell for hundreds of dollars. You’ll have a few seconds to bid, and the highest bidder when the clock runs out gets the record. I’ll pack everything up and ship this weekend.
You can browse the signed records and pre-bid right now here.
You can also enter a max bid ahead of time if you can’t make the show. Whatnot will automatically bid on your behalf, up to the amount you choose, while you go live your beautiful offline life.

The credit works anywhere on the app, or you can bring it to the show tomorrow night and walk away with a record on me.
Even if you don’t plan on bidding, come hang out. I’ll be spinning good music, giving away free vinyl throughout the night, and attempting to keep up with the chat while dozens of records leave my house.
See you Friday at 8 PM ET,
Jared
P.S. A quick programming note: Tomorrow also brings the first weekly edition of The Weekender for paid subscribers. These Friday issues are something extra for the readers supporting The Wax Museum, while the usual free exhibits will continue two or three times each month. For more on the new schedule, plus 15 record-mendations, catch up on last week’s supersized Weekender here.
