The Chameleons are a fantastic band. I've been a fan since their debut album. I have Pandora and the algorithm constantly surprises me with "new" bands with songs from a decade or so ago, such as Twin Tribes, Drab Majesty, Beach Vacation or Washed Out. But I love the discovery even if I'm late to the party.
A few years ago I was record shopping and had Washed Out's 'Within and Without' on my pile as I flipped through the crates. The guy across from me took one look, pointed to the record and solemnly told me "that's the best f'ing record you're gonna get today." And you know? He was right...
Love the variety here! A ton I have never heard, but great to see some faves (that I haven't played in forever) like The Chameleons, Mohave 3, Midlake, and Aprodite's Child. I have some stuff to explore this weekend. Thanks for this list.

At the dawn of US commercial “alternative” radio, I was on a hopeless mission to make The Chameleons a household name. Can’t blame a guy for trying. Their 1986 double LP ‘Strange Times’ is a masterpiece of a different flavor.
