I love seeing other music writer's lists. Our only crossovers, and mine weren't in my Top 10, but in my Top 50, are Fontaines DC and Rosie Tucker. You named a couple artists with whom I'm not familiar, and I'll be checking them out soon!
Right back at you Mallie. Excited to see the rest of your list; I agree with you (though we seem to be in the minority) about Waxahatchee's earlier stuff (my fav album of hers by a longshot is Out in the Storm).
Excellent list, beautiful words. So sorry for your losses. Really refreshing to see OGWAU in the top spot, I feel like it has been largely underrepresented on year-end lists this year for how much of a return to form it was.
Appreciate that Sam. And props to you on that stellar Diamond Jubilee longread; you just gained a new fan!
Yeah I was kind of stunned OGWAU and MGMT's new one weren't more lauded on lists.. OGWAU especially is one I can see myself returning to the rest of my life.
Wow, thanks so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed the Diamond Jubilee piece, that record is legitimately what inspired me to finally try my hand at music writing. Looking forward to more out-of-the-blue releases in the new year that I soon won't be able to imagine my life without!
Thanks for your kind words, Andres. Your articles have changed the way I experience vinyl listening. You’re one of the few writers whose posts I drop everything to read the moment they land in my inbox. Merry Christmas, my friend!
Thank you so very much. You have no idea how much this means to me. Truthfully. I’m looking forward to more mutual reading and writing in the new year. Perhaps a collab at some point?

So sorry for your losses. What you said is very inspirational and it has helped me put things into perspective.
Glad to see music came to your rescue. It’s most definitely the best medicine.
Have a peaceful, restful Christmas 🎄

Absolutely!
Glad to see we agree on FJM, who I had at #2. And so sorry for your loss…welcome to the club no one wants to join 💕.
Thanks Jeremy, and my condolences once again. Been listening to your top 25 all day today, found some new gems, thanks for all you do!
