Yatta! has been one of the albums that has surprised me the most this year. I think "the kind of record that works whether you’re moving or zoning out" is a perfect statement about it. I had it on while I was painting a bedroom last weekend, and it was perfect.
Brilliant post as always 👏🏻 Can I just add... ...check out Nashpaints if you love ambient. And the hype about Angine de Poitrine is real. They are incredible.
Great to see an under the radar list where I actually haven’t heard of 98% of these. Definitely gonna check some of these out. I’m super intrigued by Telenova.
Caterina Barbieri and Bendik Giske. Abronia. Puma Blue. YĪN YĪN. Alice Costelloe. are Great! And you convinced me to add Blood Cultures (strictly for a run tho). .idk. - e.t.d.s A Mixtape has been in the rotation. Nice to see the mention.
Wonderful picks! Love the Portishead vibes emanating from Puma Blue. We're currently spinning The Lighthouse by Tessa Rose Jackson, which has been on steady rotation. It's a beautiful collection of songs and a great winter companion. “Built To Collide” is an excellent starting point to get hooked (sounds like Weyes Blood and The Beths jamming together).

My local record store was playing this record the last time I went in and I was really digging it!

Love to see Telenova in there! Listened to The Warning from front to back the other day and it’s such a coherent, thoughtful work
that alice costelloe album!
